      ■ Global competitiveness enhanced with high scores in all ESG areas including environment, labor, and ethics
      ■ Accelerating entry into AIDC and renewable energy power stabilization markets

LS Materials (CEO Hong Young-ho) announced on the 12th that it had received a bronze grade in the sustainability rating conducted by EcoVadis, a global ESG evaluation agency.

Established in France in 2007, EcoVadis is the world's largest ESG evaluation agency. It evaluates and grades over 150,000 companies from 185 countries around the world in four areas: environment, labor/human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

In this first evaluation, LS Materials received a bronze grade, ranking in the top 35%. In particular, the company was highly evaluated for its efforts to protect the environment, including obtaining environmental management system (ISO14001) certification and establishing a greenhouse gas emissions management system.

The company also received high marks in the labor and human rights sectors for being selected as a company with an excellent labor-management culture and a family-friendly certified company, and received positive marks in the sustainable procurement sector for expanding the application of ESG evaluation criteria to its partners.

As global companies have recently been demanding ESG evaluation grades for the sustainability of their supply chains, LS Materials will be able to further strengthen its competitiveness in the global ultra-capacitor (UC) market with this bronze rating.

“This ESG evaluation has enabled us to proactively respond to the needs of our global clients,” said Hong Young-ho, CEO of LS Materials. “We have laid the foundation for entering the AI data center (AIDC) and renewable energy power stabilization markets.”

Last year, LS Materials launched a new product, LS UltraGrid, capable of supplying MW-level power. The company is currently accelerating its efforts to target high value-added markets such as AIDC and renewable energy power stabilization.
